Hearing this man speak about cinema, you could get the impression that it is something sacred. And I would agree.

Today at @omrockstars Festival Tarantino spoke of cinema as a shared experience, people experiencing and talking about the art.

Among many other things today made me want to buy his books and listen to his future podcast.

You can get the movie nerd out of the weekly sneak preview, but the love of movies never fades.

Quentin Tarantino was an intellectual delight at @omrockstars festival 2022.

Usually I don’t particularly like big audience motivational speeches but his recounting of his early days in film was honestly inspiring.

After 3 years of working on it he basically scrapped his first movie and treated the experience as his personal version of film school.

Never give up.

I am very fond of enjoying a proper Afternoon Tea. Yes, even the cucumber sandwiches. Especially the cucumber sandwiches!

One of the best Hamburg locations for this wonderful ritual, or really just for any way of having a cup of tea, is in the Wohnhalle (living room) at @fairmont_hotelvierjahreszeiten .

Unfortunately Afternoon Tea is not that established in Germany. Only a very few select places offer it on a regular basis.

All the better when the atmosphere of the room suits the occasion.

@fairmont_hotelvierjahreszeiten does deliver in this regard and the experience itself is excellent. My thanks and compliments to all the staff!

If you ever find yourself in Hamburg, allow yourself a good cup of 🫖. You will not regret it!

People who have gotten to know me for only the briefest amount of time know that I love to play all manner of games.

Analog, digital, hybrid, all of them.

When you are hanging out around me it is almost impossible not to get dragged into some sort of gaming session or another.

Currently Middle-earth is seeing a renaissance in my household.

Maybe this is due to the @amazonstudios series set to release later this year or maybe it is just a serious bout of Hobbit flavoured nostalgia.

In any case the small-folk are populating my workbench again whenever I want to get away from the screen and all manner of professional thoughts for a while.

Tonight I worked on this humble first version of the ringbearer Mr Baggins Jr himself. Not a bad start, what do you think?
